Brompton Electric Folding Bike- Best Foldable Bike
Brompton Electric Folding Bike is the most relevant e-bikes for commuters staying in urban setups. The designer discovered the need for foldable e-bikes, as travellers often shifted over different modes of transport. Commuters folded their e-bikes while travelling on subways, high-speed rails or ferries across the river. The bike is made easy by simply plugged on the battery bag onto the bike and you are ready to go.
The battery has a capacity of 1.5 litres, but a larger 20-litres suitcase style bag is also available. The weight of the bike including battery is 16.6 kg, considered in the light-weighted ranged for eBike. The bike is built-in with three assistance modes, cater to various needs of the rider. The output power is much lower at 200 watts. However, this is good enough to commute on a normal road in the city.
7.Prodeco Phantom X2
Prodeco Phantom X2 is another popular folding bike. The bike looks more classic in design as compare to Brompton. It weighs at 26.3 kg, 10 kg more than Brompton. However, the bike had a powerful nominal output of 500 watts, while a peak output at 720 watts. The battery voltage is slightly higher at 38.4 volts compared to most e-bikes.
The battery can power to 460.8 W. In a single charge, the estimated range the battery can last between 40 km to 60 km. Charging of the battery took 5.5 hours. Overall, it is a bike with more power, therefore it took longer for the battery to be fully charged. The bike can hit the top speed of 32 km/hr, considered the high side of most e-bikes.
The criterion for selection of a right e-bike is very wide. This solely depends on individual daily activities and function in life. In my personal opinions, it is always good to give a test ride before deciding the suitable bike for yourself.
